Fighting Back On Africa’s Conservation Battleground

From poaching to pollution, there’s a human-wildlife conflict threatening some of the most precious life on the planet.

Huffington Post Australia travelled to South Africa recently to visit Pridelands Conservancy and learn about the challenges facing Africa’s wildlife. Their story introduces WildArk founders Mark and Sophie Hutchinson who, together with their partners John and Anton Lategan, are doing their part to protect wildlife and biodiversity on their property Pridelands. It also highlights the work being done by countless individuals like Rhian Ahlers, Pierre Wilkinson, Ruben and Marianne de Kock, Clive Poultney and Sean Patrick from nearby York Private Nature Reserve, as well as the South African Wildlife College. The message is clear, as the war against wildlife is rages there are countless people who are not giving up the fight.
