Detailed Overview

Capturing a wildlife photograph is not as easy as it looks. Not only does one need creativity and technical skills, but also a knowledge and understanding of one’s subject matter. We start the course with a discussion on the equipment needed to become a versatile nature photographer and then discuss the various fundamentals that combine to make a good wildlife photograph.

Participants will spend mornings and afternoons in the bush looking for photographic opportunities followed by interactive workshops each day and review of photos taken during activities. The course price includes accommodation in fully equipped two person tents with bedding, all meals and professionally trained guides.

The Story

This experience is operated by our education and travel partner EcoTraining. EcoTraining was established in 1993 and is the premier safari guide and trail guiding organisation in Africa.

EcoTraining’s mission is to educate people on the importance of the wilderness and especially the processes that drive the natural ecosystems of the world. With new understanding, the hope is that participants on an EcoTraining experience will go out into the world with the visions to make a difference to the way we look after our planet in their day-to-day lives.

Our tented camps are located in wildlife conservancies and we aim to minimise our impact on the environment. All accommodation is in two person tents including bedding. Our camps are unfenced meaning that we often have many different wild animals visiting our camps during the day and night. All meals are included in any stay including early morning breakfast, brunch, afternoon meal and dinner. Alcohol purchases are additional.

Specific details on what to bring to your EcoQuest experience will be provided.  We aim to ensure that you walk away from your EcoQuest experience eager to return again soon.
